Easy Phone Set-ups for Self-portraits
Unit 4.2
Here are a few set-ups you could use for self-portraits if you're using your phone to take photos. With phone set-ups like these, it would be easier to use the video setting to capture your self-portraits, and then exporting individual frames for the still images inside your video editing app.
1. Phone + Household items
You can easily prop your phone up using items you have around you. Go for slightly heavier things so they're strong enough to support the phone and hold it in place.

This is an example of how you can get creative. You could lay your phone of the edge of a bed or a table to use for overhead shots!

2. Phone + Tripod
I use a tripod most often because that's what I have on hand, and if you have one, it does make things a bit easier. I have the Manfrotto Befree Travel Tripod and the Manfrotto Universal Smartphone Clamp.
I've had this tripod for almost 10 years now and it works great; however, it is more "lightweight." It IS a travel tripod afterall. So this will work well phones and lighter cameras, or even bulky cameras with lighter lenses.
